![]() I'll usuallly start by hitting Bestial Wrath if I find the fight is worth it (more than 3 mobs) so that my pet and I can start the fight off with increased stats. Next what I like to do is make sure Growl, Prowl, and Cower are off my pet (I run with a Spirit Beast cat), so that all of his focus can be used toward increasing his DPS. With the Glyph you get an extra attack power boost. When in instances or group settings, always cast Hunter's Mark first on your target, either before the fight starts, or before you start attacking. If your a fresh 80 and your DPS is not the highest, you may be asked to leave several times because the group might be prejudiced against "huntards". This is actually where all Hunters should go to gear up if their just starting out. With the introduction of Guild Achievements, I recommend hitting up instances with Guildies and gaining achievements as well as having a good time with friends and getting the gear your Hunter will need for later on end game content. The best place to start gathering gear is regular 5man instances that are available to your gear level. Get the best you can afford with reasonable prices. This is the only way to get Mastery points in the game so far. If the item has sockets in it, than gem them with the types of Gems I listed below. And don't forget if you want more Mastery, you have to go to a Reforger to have the stats on an item "reforged" into the Mastery point. I chose Feign Death, Aspect of the Pack, and Mend Pet. Gather gear with Agility, Attack Power, and Critical Strike Rating. For minors.pick what appeals to you basically. These Glyphs might be a bit tricky to find, (at least on my realm), but if your persistant or have a very good Inscription friend or are one yourself, you should be able to get these at a reasonable amount. Later on I will be adding links to some of the builds of the different trees and the strengths and weaknesses of the builds shown.įor me, gearing my BM Hunter at 85 would go like this: Glyph yourself with Aimed Shot, Kill Command and Serpent Sting for Prime Glyphs, Bestial Wrath, Trap Launcher, and Mending for Major Glyphs. If you want a visual of the talent build I chose, you can Armory my character on the wow website for now. Must have talents for the BM tree are Bestial Wrath, Invigoration, Spirit Bond (SB isnt really a requirement but it is really handy if both you and your pet accidentally take some dmg), Frenzy, The Beast Within, Ferocious Inspiration and Cobra Strikes. As well as doing moderatly okay DPS, BM hunter's can also solo and farm certain aspects of the game quite easily due to the massive dps their pets can pull off and the variety of abilities available. Common talent builds are 31/10/0 and 31/8/2, depending on how many points you wish to spend in each of the other trees You must, unfortunately, spend at least 31 points in your Beastmastery tree before you are able to ponder where to place points in the others. My hunter is specced 31/5/0 at the moment (I'm still level 80 and haven't been given my last 5 points yet, and I like it so far. ![]() This spec is the best for lvling your hunter to 85. Since I favor Beastmastery, we'll start with that talent tree first. This of course can be found by using the N key on your keyboard and reading the Summeries of each talent tree. For Survival Hunters, your talent perk is "Into the Wilderness" which is an agility increase of 15% and a Mastery of "Essence of the Viper", which increases all Elemental damage you do by 8% and an additional 1% for each Mastery point. For the Markmanship talent tree, you recieve a ranged auto-attack bonus of 15% and get the Mastery "Wild Quiver", which is a 14% chance for your ranged attacks to instantly fire an additional shot, with it increasing 1.% for each Mastery point. If you pick the Beastmastery talent tree, you will have the perk of getting "Animal Handler", which is a passive 15% bonus of attack power, as well as the Mastery bonus of "Master of Beasts", which increases your pets attack power by 13% (and some change but I like solid whole numbers) and an increase of 1.7% for each Mastery point. Your "Mastery" depends on what talent tree you choose. In a recent patch, the last one (or second to last one, I honestly didn't keep count), Blizzard introduced "talent mastery". The 3 Trees are named Beastmastery, Marksmanship and Survival. First off, my guide might be a bit opinionated since I'm basing it off my own Hunter Darkwysper. This page was actually requested by a guild member of my Rogue's guild so here it is. ![]() ![]() Hey out there to all you happy hunters, wether lvl 1, lvl 85, or somewhere in between. ![]()
